Paris (France) based media company Welcome to the Jungle has raised €50 million in a Series C funding round that will allow the company to expand its reach to both Europe and the United States. The funding was provided by a group of investors including Alexandre Mars’ B-Corp certified blisce/, Cipio Partners, Groupe ADP, Kostogri, and RAISE Sherpas via Phiture, as well as previous investors Revaia, XAnge, and BPIfrance via its fund Digital Ventures.
Welcome to the Jungle, which was founded in 2015, provides clients with a service that helps reveal their unique company culture, listens to the needs of their employees, and builds stronger relationships with them. The company’s goal is to answer the question of what it’s really like to work at a particular company and if an individual’s work will make a meaningful difference. The timing of the funding announcement is notable given the current economic climate, but the company’s track record and backing from investors suggest it is well-positioned for success in the future.
When it comes to the decision of investing in a recruitment service during a bear market, Cipio Partners’ Managing Partner Roland Dennert explains, “We are pleased to begin this partnership with Welcome to the Jungle. Its proven business model has stood the test of time and is continually reinventing itself. We strongly believe in the service’s global growth potential and are delighted to be backing their mission and helping make it a reality.” Welcome to the Jungle currently has over 5,000 customers worldwide, accounting for €30 million in annual recurring revenue, employs over 300 people in offices in Paris and Prague, and has raised a total of €79 million to date.
