Berlin-based SaaS startup Lumiform is pleased to announce the closing of its €6.4 million Series A funding round.
The funding round is led by Capnamic, one of Europe’s leading venture capitalists.
The VC joins the leaders of the seed round 42CAP, Equitypitcher, Westtech Ventures and Exxeta AG, as well as well-known business angels such as Christoph Gerber, Kai Hansen – founder of Lieferando, Christian Henschel, Paul Müller – founder of Adjust, Christophe Folschette , Thibaut Britz – founder of Talkwalker and Stefan Tietze – founder of Braucht.de.
Lumiform is an easy-to-use mobile and desktop application that helps companies across all industries automate the workflows of their so-called deskless workers.
The intuitive application enables companies to quickly digitize and automate their paper-based processes.
These are, for example, occupational safety checks on construction sites, hygiene documentation in restaurants or vehicle checks in logistics companies, to name just a few use cases.
“Most software is developed with desktop workers in mind, even though 80% of the world’s workforce is non-desk.
They often still have to rely heavily on pen and paper during their work because there is currently hardly any technology that meets their needs. Such analog processes are time-consuming and error-prone, leading to high costs as well
loss of quality or operational errors. With Lumiform we make it easy for deskless teams to switch to a digital solution that gives them real-time insights to make efficient and data-driven decisions.”Lukas Blasberg, Co-Founder and Co-CEO
More than 30,000 organizations in 188 different countries have already filled out over 1.5 million forms and trusted Lumiform to support them. Over 12,000 ready-made templates, available free of charge, also enable companies to successfully launch their digitization efforts.
Lumiform will use the capital raised to drive product development and marketing activities.
“The largest contributor and the backbone of the global economy are deskless workers, but despite this, this group has so far remained largely untouched by the recent waves of digitization. Lumiform offers a user-friendly and at the same time intelligent solution that can be used in various industries and companies of all sizes. The software digitizes everyday data-centric tasks, such as inspections and audits, makes them traceable and offers users a
simple system for task distribution and management. Looking to the future, we can see Lumiform expanding its value proposition and product towards an operating system for deskless workers, thus becoming a key driver for innovation and digitalization.”
