(IBM) has announced its acquisition of StreamSets and webMethods, the Super iPaaS (integration platform-as-a-service) enterprise technology platforms from Software AG. The deal, valued at €2.13 billion in cash, is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
The acquisition of these platforms complements the US company’s existing portfolio, which includes Watsonx, Red Hat, and various IT automation products. StreamSets, a cloud-native DataOps and data ingestion platform, enhances data ingestion for Watson, IBM’s AI platform. Meanwhile, webMethods provides integration and API management tools for hybrid multi-cloud environments.
