Filtrabit, a cleantech company headquartered in Oulu, has secured a €2 million funding commitment from Ajanta Innovations 2 Ky as part of its upcoming financing round.
The new capital is intended to support Filtrabit’s expansion beyond Finland, with initial focus on the Nordic region, Central Europe, and India.
Rising demand for modern dust management
According to the company, stricter environmental regulation and increasing pressure on industrial efficiency are driving demand for advanced dust control solutions. Beyond compliance, improved dust extraction enables better recovery and reuse of raw materials, delivering both environmental and economic benefits.
Filtrabit’s management says its technology has already been deployed successfully across multiple industrial applications in Finland and is now ready for wider international adoption.

Proven technology ready for global rollout
Founded in 2011, Filtrabit develops industrial-scale dust extraction systems designed to capture fine particulate matter from dust-laden gas streams. By removing microparticles before they are released into the environment, the systems help reduce emissions both inside production facilities and in surrounding areas.
The recovered material can be reused in industrial processes, supporting circular use of raw materials while lowering overall emissions.
Flexible, modular systems for heavy industry
Filtrabit’s dust separation units are modular, serially manufactured, and designed for rapid deployment. The systems can be installed without major construction work and adjusted in capacity without requiring new building permits.
Installations can typically be completed within a single day when ducting is prepared in advance. The units can also be equipped with sensors tailored to customer-specific monitoring and data requirements.
The company serves customers across heavy industry, including steel production, foundries, quarries, and mining and ore processing operations.
Expansion supported by diverse financing
The €2 million commitment adds to a series of recent funding activities supporting Filtrabit’s growth. In the past year, the company has secured additional capital through equity funding, public grants, lease financing, and bank loans, strengthening its balance sheet ahead of international expansion.
Management states that the new commitment is a key element of its next financing round and enables execution of a long-term strategy that has been under development for more than a year.
