Thirdweb – based in San Francisco — just closed a $24 million Series A funding round. This groundbreaking platform allows developers to create both NFT and Web3 apps. This round of funding increases the company’s valuation to $160 million.

Thirdweb received funding from Haun Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Shopify and Polygon. With this investment round, the company plans to accelerate platform development, add support for additional blockchains and grow its userbase by hundreds of thousands. This will help Web3 achieve mass adoption by brands, individuals and creators.

Thirdweb founder Steven Bartlett claims that the technological shift known as Web 3 is the most significant change he’s seen in his life. According to him, nobody understands how much the world will change due to Web 3; he claims that it will change the world in a way that’s remarkably better. To assist builders in creating this next version of the internet, thirdweb was created with helpful tools.

Gary Vaynerchuck, the founder and CEO of Vayner/RSE, previously expressed his support for thirdweb. He said that he believes thirdweb has the vision, determination and talent to develop the infrastructure for Web 3. Web 3 will alter many different kinds of businesses, and its platform will enable that revolution, said Vaynerchuck.

Web3 will transform the internet in the same ways Web1 and Web2 did, according to Furqan Rydan. He is the founder of thirdweb, which is building a foundational layer for web3. Developers can use the tools provided by thirdweb to unlock the power of blockchain technology and create next-level companies. Rydan says he’s looking to expand his vision and welcome another 10 million developers onto web3.

Haun Ventures founder and CEO Katie Haun believes that the platform will help move the next generation of the internet forward. She believes that thirdweb’s development complexity surpasses that of web 2.0; thus, she commends Furqan and Steven’s experienced team for creating an elegant solution. This solution allows web developers to rapidly build without making costly mistakes. Haun is pleased to see two proven founders involved in crypto; she hopes to support their future efforts.

The company was co-founded in 2021 by Furqan Rydhan and Steve Bartlett. The platform provides a development kit for Web3 applications that reduces the cost and time required to build apps. The startup can create web3 apps on popular blockchains, including ones related to decentralized applications, games, member clubs, NFTs and more.

Their tools helped create web3 applications like NFT drops that have been used by over 55,000 developers since their release.
