Fostering Personalized Medical Content with MedLLMs

The infusion of funds will be instrumental in developing Medical Large Language Models (MedLLMs) by XUND. These models are designed to dynamically generate personalized medical content, marking a significant leap in healthcare by linking individual patient data with reliable, tailored information. “The use of artificial intelligence will usher in a new era in healthcare,” stated Tamás Petrovics, Co-Founder & CEO of XUND, expressing gratitude for the investors’ trust in a challenging market.

Collaboration with Thieme for Medical Innovation

The partnership between XUND and Thieme Group, a renowned provider of specialist medical information, aims to create MedLLMs that combine Thieme’s medical content with the startup’s natural language processing technology. This collaboration is set to debut a joint prototype at DMEA, Europe’s leading digital health event, showcasing the potential of personalized medical content.

The Mission: Digitizing the Patient Journey

Founded in 2018, the startup’s mission is to digitize the patient journey, translating unstructured data into actionable insights. The company has developed four medical modules covering the entire lifecycle of a patient, from prevention to diagnosis and monitoring. Its flagship AI-powered health assistant offers symptom and risk assessment capabilities, guiding patients to the most appropriate care.

Investor Support

Investors like MMC Ventures and MassMutual Ventures have praised XUND’s unique API and its superior use of AI in the healthcare space. This new investment round, particularly with Thieme’s backing, will enable XUND to access one of Europe’s largest proprietary data sets, further advancing its leading product.

With a total of €8M in funding, the austrian startup is poised to continue its growth trajectory, reinforcing its position as an innovation leader in the health tech industry and contributing to the digital transformation of healthcare in Europe and beyond.
