Wooclap, the Brussels-based edtech SaaS company transforming lectures and training sessions into interactive experiences, has raised €25M in fresh funding.
The round was led by Impact Expansion, with participation from Finance&Invest.brussels, alongside the company’s founders and existing backers.
Founded in 2015 by Sébastien Lebbe and Jonathan Alzetta, Wooclap enables educators and trainers to increase engagement and retention by embedding real-time activities such as polls, brainstorms, word clouds, and image annotations into classes and workshops. Its platform integrates with Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, and leading LMS systems, and today counts more than 50 million learners worldwide.
Wooclap also operates Wooflash, a microlearning app that uses AI and spaced repetition to support knowledge retention. Customers include Sorbonne University, Duke University, Dior, Pernod Ricard, Onepoint, and the Red Cross.
“With Impact Expansion by our side, we’re ready to accelerate growth, drive innovation, and partner with educators to shape the future of active learning,” said Baudouin Corman, CEO of Wooclap.
Fueling international expansion
The funding will be used to:
- Expand across North America and deepen reach in the corporate learning sector
- Develop new AI-powered features to enhance learner engagement
- Grow its global footprint with more universities and enterprises
“Since day one, we’ve believed every learner should be empowered to take an active role in their learning,” added Lebbe, co-founder and chairman. “This investment brings us closer to that vision.”
With this raise, Wooclap is positioning itself as a leading platform for AI-driven, active pedagogy, bridging higher education and corporate training worldwide.
