Unravel, a travel tech startup blending TikTok-style video content with AI-driven trip planning, has raised $7 million in Series A funding to redefine how people discover and book travel. The round was led by Nauta Capital, with participation from Active Partners, Slingshot Ventures, and Olivier Bisserier (former CFO of Booking.com).

Previous backers like Antler, Nodes, and Brook Bay Capital also returned, joined by new investors including The Players Fund, backed by sports stars Ben Stokes, KL Rahul, and Jessica Ennis-Hill.

A Social, Seamless Booking Experience

Co-founded in 2020 by Vijay Anand, Abhimanyu Dasgupta, and Sunny Swetank, Unravel was built around a core insight: modern travelers begin their journey with short-form video inspiration—not search engines. Inspired by TikTok and Instagram Reels, users want to plan and book trips directly from creator content. Unravel turns that desire into reality.

“People don’t want endless filters and pages of search results. They want inspiration and instant action,” said CEO Vijay Anand. “Unravel transforms creator-shot videos into shoppable, AI-personalized booking experiences.”

Unravel’s app merges:

  • Creator-driven, short-form video content
  • AI recommendations and itinerary planning
  • One-click booking tools embedded in apps from banks, airlines, fintechs, and telcos

Its white-label platform allows partners to integrate immersive travel discovery and booking features in days—not months. This includes smart features like group payment splitting, dynamic pricing predictions, and loyalty integration, helping partners like banks and telecom providers tap into new revenue streams.

Global Reach and Rapid Impact

Currently operating across Asia and the Middle East, Unravel is expanding across Europe and the UK. Its clients have seen:

  • 4x growth in daily active users
  • 10x increase in booking conversion rates

The company is now hiring top talent in AI/ML, enterprise partnerships, and digital commerce to support its rapid global scale-up from its London headquarters.
