UBEES has raised €8M in a Series A round to accelerate the integration of pollination into modern agricultural systems, positioning beekeeping as a scalable driver of productivity, resilience, and regenerative farming.

The round was co-led by European investors Starquest and Capagro, with participation from Newtree Impact. The fresh capital will be used to embed pollination more deeply into agricultural value chains, an area that remains critical for yields but is still largely absent from day-to-day agronomic planning.

UBEES is addressing this gap by designing structured pollination programs that align farmers, agribusinesses, and consumer brands around measurable agronomic and environmental outcomes.

Making pollination economically viable at scale

According to CEO Louis Delelis-Fanien, the funding marks a key step in demonstrating that pollination can be treated as an operational input rather than a passive natural service. By making pollination measurable, optimisable, and financeable, UBEES aims to support more productive and resilient farming systems.

The company’s model positions pollination as both an ecological and economic lever, helping growers improve yields while enabling brands to integrate biodiversity into their sourcing strategies.

Data-driven beekeeping across global supply chains

Founded in 2017, UBEES combines beekeeping expertise with agronomic data and on-the-ground support. Its connected beehives use sensors and analytics to monitor pollinator health and environmental conditions, generating insights on crop productivity, quality, biodiversity, and carbon impact.

These insights are used to optimise farming practices and assess ecosystem health across entire supply chains. UBEES currently operates in more than 15 countries across five continents, supporting clients in agri-food, cosmetics, and energy from program design through field deployment.

Expanding into key crop regions

With the new funding, the company plans to scale its presence in Latin America and Africa, regions that are central to crops such as coffee, cocoa, avocados, and berries. At the same time, the company will continue strengthening operations in Europe and the United States.

Investment will also go toward advancing its connected beehive technology, improving data quality, pollinator monitoring, and impact measurement across agronomic, environmental, and economic dimensions.

Building a global beekeeping network

UBEES is also developing an international network of trained farmers who can generate additional income through beekeeping while gaining access to agronomic insights. The approach aims to improve smallholder livelihoods while embedding pollination expertise directly into local farming systems.

About UBEES

UBEES applies beekeeping and data-driven technologies to regenerative agriculture, helping farms and global brands improve pollination, crop performance, and biodiversity. By turning pollination into a measurable and scalable practice, UBEES supports resilient food systems, nature-based solutions, and the transition toward net-zero and regenerative farming worldwide.
