Ukrainian defense tech startup TENCORE has raised $3.74 million (approx. €3.19 million) in a deal led by US-Ukrainian investor MITS Capital, announced during the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2025) in Rome.

The funding will allow the company to significantly scale up production of its NATO-compliant unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), particularly its flagship TerMIT model.

Scaling battlefield-ready robotics

Having already produced over 800 units, TENCORE plans to boost its manufacturing output to 2,000 TerMIT units by the end of 2025. These robotic systems, deployed at the front lines, assist in high-risk military tasks such as logistics, evacuation, fire support, and demining.

Priced from $12,000, the TerMIT can carry loads up to 300 kg, travel 20 km, and operate continuously for up to 12 hours. Its modular design allows customization for diverse mission profiles — from hauling 30 tons of supplies monthly to operating remote-controlled weapons like Browning machine guns and grenade launchers.

Investment breakthrough for Ukraine’s DefenseTech sector

The deal marks a milestone under Ukraine’s Diia.City legal framework, which was extended to DefenseTech in 2025 and has since registered over 300 companies. “This agreement creates a clear legal path for international investors to deploy capital directly into Ukrainian entities without workarounds,” said Denys Gurak, CIO and Founding Partner at MITS Capital.

MITS Capital CEO Perry Boyle emphasized that this is the first Diia.City contract signed between a US investor and a Ukrainian defense company. “Our goal is to get Russia out of Ukraine and Ukraine into NATO’s defense supply chain,” he stated.

Expanding beyond combat zones

Beyond military use, TENCORE’s robotic platforms aim to reduce human risk in dangerous environments, providing scalable, field-ready tech for both defense and civilian applications. TENCORE is strategically positioning itself as a crucial player in Ukraine’s wartime innovation ecosystem — one that is gaining increasing attention from global investors and NATO-aligned nations.
