Belgian AI startup Tekst has secured €11.5 million in Series A funding in a round led by Elephant.
Founded in 2022 in Ghent by Wouter Janssen and Tiebe Parmentier, the company is building AI infrastructure designed to help enterprises understand and automate complex operational workflows.
Bringing Context Into Enterprise AI
Tekst focuses on one of the major challenges facing enterprise AI adoption: the lack of operational context inside business systems.
While companies continue investing heavily in AI technologies, many workflows still rely on fragmented processes, undocumented knowledge, emails, PDFs, and manual approvals.
The company’s platform reconstructs business processes automatically by analysing the digital activity employees already generate across enterprise systems. Instead of relying on consulting-heavy process mapping, Tekst identifies how actions, communications, and workflows connect in real operational environments.
Its technology is designed to help businesses move beyond isolated task automation toward full workflow intelligence across areas such as quotes, claims, customer service, and order management.

Automating Invisible Back-Office Work
Tekst integrates with existing enterprise software platforms including SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft systems, enabling businesses to reduce repetitive manual work while improving operational efficiency.
The platform focuses heavily on back-office processes that often remain difficult to automate due to their dependence on unstructured data and fragmented communication.
Current customers include Daikin Europe, Colruyt Group, Securex, and Becton Dickinson.
Expanding Product Development And International Growth
The newly raised funding will support product expansion and international growth efforts as the company scales its operations.
The company currently employs around 35 people and plans to double its headcount by the end of the year, with hiring focused primarily on engineering and go-to-market teams.
According to CEO and co-founder Wouter Janssen, most business-critical processes are not formally documented but instead exist across emails, PDFs, and employee knowledge.
He said Tekst’s process intelligence layer allows companies to surface and structure that hidden operational knowledge, enabling AI systems to move beyond basic chatbot functionality and deliver measurable enterprise value.
