TeamLinkt, a Saskatoon-based sports administration platform, has secured $8.3 million CAD in Series A funding from San Francisco’s Growth Street Partners.
The investment will accelerate product development, expand the team, and drive North American growth.
All-in-one sports management software
Founded by Jay Maharaj and the team behind real estate app ClientLinkt, TeamLinkt offers leagues, clubs, and associations tools for:
- Player registration
- Scheduling and communication
- Website building
- Digital game sheets
- AI-powered admin support
Its recently launched AI assistant, Emi, automates rosters, schedules, registration forms, and news content, reducing administrative work while adding built-in fundraising and sponsorship tools.
Free platform with a unique business model
Unlike competitors such as SportsEngine, TeamSnap, and LeagueApps, TeamLinkt provides its core software for free, generating revenue from payment processing fees, in-app advertising, and launch packages.
The company has processed hundreds of millions in payments to date and serves 3,000+ organizations and 3 million users across multiple sports, from hockey and football to dance and martial arts.
Growth plans
The Series A round — Growth Street Partners’ first Canadian investment — will support:
- Hiring in product and growth roles (team expected to grow from 17 to 50+ in 3–5 years)
- Scaling customer support
- Expanding AI features, payment automation, analytics, and digital fundraising
“Our vision is to become the first true operating system for youth and amateur sports,” said Maharaj. “We want every organization, regardless of size or budget, to have access to powerful, easy-to-use technology.”
