AI startup Strawberry, creator of a browser with built-in personalized AI companions, has raised $6 million in funding to make advanced AI automation intuitive and accessible.
The round was led by General Catalyst and EQT Ventures, with participation from founders of Lovable, Supabase, and Hugging Face.
Strawberry’s AI-first browser allows users to create custom AI assistants that work directly within their browsing experience. Early adopters have built companions for competitive research, sales prospecting, and content creation, earning Strawberry top honors as both Product of the Day and Product of the Week on Product Hunt.

A New Kind of AI Companion
Rather than offering a generic chatbot or enterprise tool, the company focuses on personalized, collaborative AI companions that adapt to individual workflows. Users can train assistants to research multiple sources, summarize insights, generate content in their own voice, or automate repetitive tasks like data entry, meeting follow-ups, and CRM updates.
The goal is to make AI feel less like a tool — and more like a co-pilot for everyday digital work.

Fueling Growth and Next-Gen Features
With this new funding, the startup plans to expand its engineering and design teams, accelerate product development, and grow its beta community of early adopters.
The company is also rolling out an upgraded version of its browser featuring enhanced automation tools, real-time collaboration between AI companions, and seamless integration with productivity platforms. Access will be gradually expanded to new users in the coming months.
