UK-based StirlingX, a specialist in high-security drone operations and data intelligence, has closed its extended seed round at $11 million.
The SAFE round was led by the RCM Private Markets Fund (managed by Rokos Capital Management), with backing from GALLOS Technologies, ONE9, and a group of new and existing angel investors.
StirlingX builds autonomous drone systems and AI-driven analytics designed for complex, sensitive environments — including defence, national infrastructure, and large-scale industrial operations.
Its platform integrates automated flight operations, resilient communications, and real-time data processing to transform aerial and sensor inputs into actionable insights, enabling faster decision-making, higher operational efficiency, and reduced risk.
Growing Adoption Across Critical Sectors
The company is already supporting live operations for major clients such as Murphy and National Grid, assisting with pre-construction assessments, construction monitoring, surveying, and regulatory compliance.
CEO Dean Jones calls the closing of the round “a key milestone” for the business, adding:
“The confidence shown by our investors allows us to move faster in delivering sovereign, secure technology across critical infrastructure and defence. With strong momentum behind us, we are well-positioned to scale and deepen our impact across the markets we serve.”
Funding to Drive Product Development and Global Reach
With fresh capital, StirlingX will accelerate product innovation, strengthen its international expansion, and expand hiring across engineering, AI, and data science.
The company will also scale manufacturing and R&D operations in Cambridge and Oxford to meet growing demand from government and commercial clients.
