Irish healthtech startup Smile Genius has secured €850,000 in total funding as it accelerates growth across the UK and Ireland.
The latest backing comes from Enterprise Ireland, UK-based fund Haatch, and a group of angel investors.
The funding marks an important milestone for the company as it expands its product capabilities and deepens its footprint in key dental markets.
Rapid Adoption Across Global Dental Networks
Over the past two years, Smile Genius has gained traction well beyond its home market. The platform is now used by more than 1,200 dental clinics and has supported over 10,000 patient cases since launch. Clinical users span 33 countries, with customers across Ireland, the UK, Europe, the US, the UAE, and Egypt.
In the UK, Smile Genius works closely with major dental laboratories, including three of the country’s top five labs in its segment, reinforcing its position in one of its fastest-growing regions.

From Aligner Tool To End-To-End Lab Management
Initially launched as a workflow solution for clear aligner treatments, Smile Genius has evolved into a full lab-order and case management platform. It now supports independent clinics, dental laboratories, and multi-site dental groups with a unified system covering all clinical cases and lab interactions.
Recent product upgrades include:
- Automated lab-order workflows
- Real-time cost tracking for dental groups
- Greater financial and operational transparency for clinical, admin, and finance teams
These features address long-standing inefficiencies in clinic–lab coordination, billing visibility, and operational oversight.

Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Leinster, Smile Genius plans to use the funding to further scale its platform and grow its teams across Ireland and the UK. The company is focused on improving efficiency, turnaround times, and treatment outcomes by digitising and standardising clinic–lab workflows worldwide.
