Reface, an AI-driven consumer app company headquartered in Kyiv, has secured €15.2 million ($18 million) in non-dilutive funding from PvX Partners.
The financing is structured specifically to support user acquisition and marketing, allowing Reface to scale its portfolio without giving up equity.
Revenue-linked growth model
PvX Partners operates a model in which it co-invests directly into companies’ sales and marketing efforts. In return, it receives a share of the revenue generated by newly acquired users, capped at an agreed level. This approach enables high-growth consumer apps to accelerate adoption while preserving ownership and long-term strategic flexibility.
Scaling AI-powered consumer products
According to Reface’s leadership, the new capital will be used to drive growth across its AI-native applications spanning creativity, wellbeing, and lifestyle use cases. The company focuses on building mass-market consumer tools that integrate generative AI into everyday content creation.
Founded in 2018, Reface initially gained widespread attention for its face-swapping technology, which allows users to insert their likeness into photos and videos, generate AI portraits from selfies, and create voice-driven content. The app was first released under the name Doublicat before being rebranded.
Expanding app ecosystem with global reach
Beyond its flagship product, Reface has built a broader portfolio of AI-powered apps. These include Revive for animating images, Restyle for visual transformations, and additional products such as unboring.ai, Ink AI, Letsy, and Memomet.
Across its ecosystem, the company reports more than 300 million total downloads worldwide. Its tools have been used by well-known public figures and adopted in collaborations with global brands across entertainment, automotive, and consumer electronics.
Strong backing and social commitment
The startup is supported by a group of international investors, including leading venture capital firms, technology founders, and AI-focused backers from both Europe and the United States.
In addition to its commercial activity, the company has also played an active role in humanitarian support. In 2022, it launched the Reface Fund, contributing more than €424,000 to aid Ukrainian civilians and defenders.
