Enterprise presentation platform Prezent has raised $30 million in new funding to expand through acquisitions, starting with its purchase of Prezentium, a presentation services firm founded by one of its own co-founders.
The round was led by Multiplier Capital, Greycroft, and Nomura Strategic Ventures, with participation from existing backers Emergent Ventures, WestWave Capital, and Alumni Ventures. The raise brings Prezent’s total funding to $74 million and values the company at $400 million.
Consolidating two complementary ventures
The first acquisition is Prezentium, a presentation design and consulting company operating in the life sciences sector. In a rare move, both companies share a founder — Rajat Mishra, who launched Prezent after co-founding Prezentium but remained its non-operating president.
The two firms had already been working closely: Prezent used Prezentium as a go-to-market partner. The acquisition now brings the two under one roof, merging Prezent’s AI-driven automation with Prezentium’s services-led client base.
“Since day one, Prezentium has been helping clients create business communications at scale,” said Mishra. “By combining forces, we can deliver the power of AI to a much larger audience — especially in industries like life sciences and technology where precision communication matters most.”
Targeting the enterprise communication market
While startups like Presentations.ai, Lica, Gamma, and Chronicle — all backed by Accel — are competing for consumer and SMB users, the company is focused squarely on the enterprise market, serving large corporations with complex communication needs.
Mishra, a former McKinsey executive, says the company’s goal is not simply to make slides visually appealing but to automate business storytelling using AI models trained for each industry.
“There are plenty of tools trying to make presentations pretty,” said Mishra. “We want to provide the best tools for business communication. Presentation creation remains one of the last frontiers of enterprise automation.”
To support enterprise adoption, Prezent embeds “presentation engineers” — specialists trained in both the client’s industry and their AI systems — within organizations. These experts help employees adapt to AI-driven workflows faster.
“AI can’t teach people how to use AI,” Mishra explained. “Our presentation engineers bridge that gap.”
Strategic M&A in the AI services space
The move mirrors a broader trend of AI startups acquiring services firms to tap into existing customer bases and domain expertise. For instance, D-ID acquired Berlin-based Simpleshow, while Lawhive, backed by Google, bought a U.K. law firm to deepen its product offering.
Th startup plans to follow a similar path, eyeing future acquisitions in executive communication coaching, medical writing, and consulting firms specializing in corporate storytelling.
Greycroft partner Mark Terbeek, who has invested in multiple rounds, said the firm’s strategy fits a broader pattern:
“We look for sectors where businesses have relied on expensive agencies — and where AI can now take over those functions efficiently. Prezent is doing exactly that in enterprise communications.”
What’s next
The firm aims to enhance personalization so its AI learns individual employees’ styles and preferences. The company is also developing multimodal input capabilities, allowing users to generate presentations from text, voice, or video, and exploring digital avatars for richer visual storytelling — similar to what Synthesia and D-ID have pioneered.
“Our mission is simple,” Mishra said. “To help every professional communicate better, faster, and with impact — powered by AI.”
