OpenHealth Technologies, a Berlin-based healthtech startup, has raised $3M in seed funding to modernize lab data infrastructure across Europe.

The round was backed by GoHub Ventures, xdeck ventures, Edenbase, and Exceptional Ventures, alongside renewed support from YZR Capital, Octopus Ventures, and Calm/Storm Ventures. The company has now raised a total of $4.3M.

Turning PDFs into AI-ready health insights

Healthcare is drowning in unstructured data. Lab results — which influence 70% of all clinical decisions — are often locked away in PDFs and incompatible systems. The result? Missed trends, delayed diagnoses, and late detection of chronic conditions and cancers. Across Europe, this inefficiency costs nearly €290B annually.

OpenHealth’s API transforms fragmented lab results into structured, AI-ready data, enabling clinics, labs, and wellness providers to deliver patient-friendly reports, track trends, and power personalized prevention. Its platform also integrates into consumer health apps, fitness chains, and longevity clinics, creating longitudinal health insights for millions.

Global traction already

Founded in 2024 by Gerrit Glass, Dr. Frederic Muench, and Frank Krueger, OpenHealth is already working with Latin America’s largest diagnostics and hospital groups, European healthtech startups like Aware, and fitness giant Smart Fit. Its ambition: to build the world’s largest usable biomarker database.

Founder and investor perspectives

“Our mission is clear: most lab results today are fragmented and underutilized. We’re changing that by building the rails for a smarter, interoperable health ecosystem,” said Gerrit Glass, CEO & Co-Founder of OpenHealth.

GoHub Ventures partner Pablo Perea added:
“OpenHealth addresses a critical gap in healthcare infrastructure. With the global push for interoperable, patient-centered data, their timing and technology are spot on.”

Next steps

With this new round, OpenHealth will accelerate European expansion, strengthen its AI-driven platform, and extend into prevention and longevity care, supplement brands, pharma, and insurance markets. The team’s long-term vision is to empower over 100 million people worldwide with actionable health data.
