ONEiO is redefining how companies approach IT integrations — turning messy, costly projects into a scalable managed service.
In the latest episode of Exit or Die, FoundersToday’s Peter Oberlik spoke with Juha Berghäll, co-founder and CEO of the Finnish startup ONEiO, about how his team is building a new category: IntegrationOps as a Service.
The Pain of Integrations
Integrations have long been one of the most frustrating parts of enterprise IT. Traditional consulting models rely on endless hours, fragile middleware, and unpredictable costs. As Juha explains: “Integrations are disgusting — nobody wants to do them.”
Having experienced these inefficiencies first-hand since the late ’90s, Juha set out to flip the model. Instead of project-based consulting, ONEiO delivers integrations as a subscription service: fast, cloud-native, and scalable.
IntegrationOps as a Service
ONEiO’s platform is built on AWS and designed cloud-native from day one. Customers no longer wait months for results — integrations can go live in just hours.
The company’s real innovation lies in removing complexity: by automating delivery and operations, ONEiO makes integrations effectively invisible. Clients only see outcomes, not the pain behind them.
AI as a Practical Enabler
While the tech world is full of “AI-washing,” Juha stresses that ONEiO’s approach is pragmatic. By combining Amazon Bedrock models with ONEiO’s proprietary integration library, AI helps:
- Accelerate delivery for complex use cases
- Reduce errors from unreliable APIs
- Support customers in self-managing integrations
The result is more speed, fewer manual workloads, and stronger unit economics.
Scaling from the Nordics
Headquartered in Finland, ONEiO was designed for international growth from the start. Juha sees being based in a small market as an advantage: if a company can succeed in the Nordics, it can compete globally.
Today, ONEiO serves clients across Europe and beyond, proving that deep-tech B2B startups can scale far outside Silicon Valley.
Founder Lessons
For other B2B founders, Juha’s advice is clear:
- Think big from day one. Don’t wait too long to expand into global markets.
- Protect your equity. Use friends, family, and your own capabilities before giving up ownership too early.
- Focus on people. Relationships and networks open doors faster than product features.
- Trust your instincts. Old playbooks don’t always work for new categories.
“Innovation doesn’t stop with the product,” Juha says. “It also goes into your go-to-market model. You need to look forward, not backward.”
Takeaway
ONEiO shows that true innovation doesn’t always come with a shiny interface. Sometimes it’s about solving the invisible problems that hold companies back — and making them disappear.
