Dutch startup Northsea, an AI-powered customer research platform, has raised €660,000 in pre-seed funding to reinvent how companies and consultants gather customer insights.
The round was led by CapitalT, with participation from several seasoned angel investors.

Founded in 2025 by Geart van Dam (CEO) and Nick van Zanten (CTO), Northsea eliminates the time, cost, and inconsistency of traditional customer research using its proprietary AI platform.

Built entirely in-house, the technology compresses a typical 4–5-day research cycle into overnight insights, combining automation, data quality, and depth of analysis that previously required full research teams.

The startup’s AI research assistant streamlines every stage of the research process — from survey design and respondent sourcing to data collection and analysis — reducing manual effort by up to 80%.
Unlike static surveys, the platform uses dynamic, interview-style conversations that adapt in real time, capturing four times more contextual detail and significantly reducing survey fraud.
The result: richer insights at a fraction of the time and cost, empowering consultants, investors, and corporate strategy teams to make faster, smarter decisions backed by high-quality data.
