Stockholm-based Nordic Knots, a design-driven e-commerce brand specialising in rugs and home textiles, has raised approximately €86 million ($100 million) in new funding, reaching a valuation of around €1.9 billion ($2.2 billion).
The round was led by Imaginary Ventures, with participation from Creades, Iris Ventures, and angel investor Lauren Santo Domingo.
A Transatlantic Brand Built For Digital Commerce
Founded in 2016 by Liza Berglund Laserow, Fabian Berglund, and Felix Berglund, Nordic Knots was shaped early on by insights from the US market. The founders identified a growing shift towards buying large interior items online and positioned the brand accordingly.
The company blends Scandinavian design with international influences, creating collections that resonate with a global audience while maintaining a strong Nordic identity.
Craftsmanship And Responsible Production
Nordic Knots designs its products in Stockholm while partnering with skilled artisans in India for production. The brand places a strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship and ethical sourcing.
Through its collaboration with GoodWeave, the company actively supports fair labour standards and works to ensure transparency across its supply chain.
Strong Financial Momentum
The company has shown consistent and profitable growth. It previously reported €34 million in annual revenue and €6.9 million in profit. More recent performance indicates revenue has climbed to €61 million, with a 20% EBIT margin and approximately 85% year-on-year growth in 2025.
Expanding Into A Full Interiors Brand
While rugs remain the foundation of its business, Nordic Knots is broadening its offering to include a wider range of home textiles. The long-term ambition is to evolve into a comprehensive interiors brand.
Alongside product expansion, the company is investing in its physical retail presence. After establishing a foothold in New York, additional flagship stores are planned in cities such as Los Angeles and other key global hubs, supporting brand visibility beyond digital channels.
Fabian Berglund highlighted that physical spaces play a key role in showcasing the brand experience, allowing customers to engage with Nordic Knots beyond online platforms.
Backed For The Next Phase Of Growth
Investors see strong potential in the company’s combination of design excellence and commercial execution. John Hedberg, CEO of Creades, noted the company’s ability to balance customer focus with profitable scaling as a key driver behind the investment.
The new funding will support continued international expansion, product development, and the scaling of both online and offline channels.
