Belgian AI startup Nexus has secured €3.7 million ($4.3 million) in seed funding to accelerate the rollout of its agentic AI platform and drive adoption of autonomous AI systems within enterprises.

The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from Y Combinator, Transpose Platform, Twenty Two Ventures, Phosphor Capital, and angel investors including Gokul Rajaram, Raphael Schaad, and Jake Mintz.

Moving From AI Pilots To Real Deployment

Founded in 2024 by Assem Chammah, a former McKinsey consultant, and Shady Al Shoha, an AI engineer, Nexus is focused on helping companies transition from experimentation with AI to fully operational deployments.

The platform enables non-technical teams to create and launch autonomous AI agents that can execute complete workflows across systems such as CRM, ERP, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.

AI Agents With Built-In Governance

A key focus of the startup is ensuring that AI agents operate within enterprise-grade governance and compliance frameworks. The platform supports more than 4,000 integrations and is designed to meet strict regulatory standards, making it suitable for large organisations.

Beyond the technology itself, Nexus also provides hands-on support, including integration, onboarding, training, and continuous optimisation to ensure successful implementation.

Early Enterprise Traction

Nexus is already working with enterprise clients such as Orange, where an AI-powered onboarding agent was deployed within four weeks. The company reports that this led to a 50% increase in conversion rates and generated over €5 million in annual lifetime value.

The platform is also used by Lambda.ai, where AI agents automate tasks across sales and marketing, significantly reducing operational workload.

Enabling Outcome-Driven AI

According to co-founder and CEO Assem Chammah, enterprises are no longer looking for AI tools that simply assist but for systems that can independently complete tasks and deliver measurable impact.

Nexus positions itself as a partner in this transition, working closely with organisations to deploy AI agents within weeks while ensuring results are directly tied to business performance.
