Building the orchestration layer for enterprise AI
Founded in 2019 by Jan Oberhauser, n8n has become one of Europe’s fastest-growing workflow automation platforms. The company positions itself as an “AI orchestration platform”, helping enterprises connect hundreds of applications, automate workflows, and integrate large language models (LLMs) and AI agents into their operations.
“Billions have been poured into AI tools by businesses and governments, but many organisations are struggling to see meaningful results,” said Jan Oberhauser, Founder and CEO of n8n. “The real challenge isn’t access to AI — it’s orchestrating it effectively. n8n allows teams to build flexible, adaptable systems that mirror how their organisations actually work.”
The platform bridges traditional business automation and AI innovation, allowing companies to create dynamic, intelligent workflows that adapt to changing needs.
Explosive growth and enterprise adoption
The company now serves more than 3,000 enterprise clients, including Vodafone, SoftBank, and SEAT, while its developer community has expanded to over 700,000 active users contributing integrations, templates, and automations.
The company reports a 10× increase in revenue over the past year as global demand for AI-powered workflow automation accelerates.
“Jan and the n8n team balance power and simplicity to bring AI automation to all users,” said Ben Fletcher, Partner at Accel. “Their platform has become the brain behind countless workflows in enterprises, government agencies, and AI-native teams. n8n is turning the promise of AI into tangible results.”
Expanding globally and scaling AI infrastructure
With the new funding, the firm plans to:
- Expand its engineering team to accelerate feature development
- Scale enterprise operations to meet global demand
- Deepen AI integration capabilities across workflows and industry verticals
The company will also invest in strengthening its open ecosystem, enabling developers and businesses to easily embed AI orchestration into their products and processes.
