Metaview, an innovative AI-powered platform that automates interview note-taking for recruiters, has announced a successful funding round of $7M (approximately €6.4M), led by Plural.

The round also saw participation from Coelius Capital, Vertex Ventures US, Seedcamp, Village Global, and notable angels including Kyle Parrish (Figma VP of Sales), and Barney Hussey-Yeo (Cleo co-founder).

The UK-based company plans to use the funds to accelerate product development and significantly expand its engineering team over the next 18 months. Metaview’s technology aims to modernize the hiring process, which has remained largely unchanged for decades, by automating note-taking and feedback writing, thereby saving time, increasing objectivity, and reducing the cost of bad hires.

Transforming Hiring with AI

Founded in 2018 by Siadhal Magos, former Uber product lead, and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, former Palantir engineering lead, Metaview leverages AI to capture conversations throughout the recruitment process. This creates a single source of truth for hiring teams, automating recording, analysis, and objective summary generation, and saving teams at least 20 hours per hire.

Metaview’s platform enables recruiters and hiring managers to focus on quality interactions with candidates and make informed, objective decisions based on data, not just memory. “Hiring is driven by human-to-human conversations, yet before now it’s been impossible to capture and operationalize the data from these crucial interactions,” said Siadhal Magos, CEO at Metaview. “With Metaview, thousands of companies are turning to our AI-native platform to harness this data, save time on busy work, and apply the insights we create to help their teams hire the right candidates.”

A Growing Customer Base and Market Potential

Over the past year, Metaview’s customer base has grown by 2000 percent within an AI HR tools market expected to reach $6.18bn in 2024. The company works with leading brands such as Brex, Quora, Pleo, and Improbable to enhance their global hiring practices.

Plural, an early-stage investment fund that backs ambitious founders on a mission to change the world through technology, sees Metaview as a critical player in improving hiring decisions, outcomes, and contributing to more equitable workplaces by removing pervasive biases in most hiring processes.

With this funding, the startup is poised to drive its next phase of growth, helping more companies radically enhance their hiring workflows and decisions.
