Mendo, a French startup that helps businesses implement generative AI and AI agents, has raised €12M in a Series A round led by Ventech and Educapital.
Tomcat and OVNI also participated in the round. The company will use the funding to develop its platform, expand its team, and grow its presence across Europe.
Addressing The Market Opportunity
Despite rapid advances in AI capabilities, most companies still struggle to move beyond testing and early experimentation. Mendo’s core argument is that AI adoption is not a technology problem alone. Getting sustained value from AI requires embedding it into day-to-day workflows and preparing employees to work alongside it effectively.
The company sees a widening gap between how fast AI is evolving and how slowly most organizations are able to absorb and operationalize it.
How The Technology Works
Mendo’s platform connects AI tools with the employees who use them, helping companies identify practical use cases, drive adoption across departments, and measure the impact of their AI initiatives. The platform also supports employees through the shift to AI-powered ways of working.
The company is building out analytics capabilities that help organizations pinpoint where AI delivers the most value and monitor adoption rates across teams. Mendo reports that its approach has produced AI adoption rates up to six times higher than conventional implementation methods.
Growth And Market Traction
Founded in 2021 by Quentin Amaudry and Alexandre Pinon-Jacques, Mendo has grown to a team of 50 people. Demand for structured AI adoption support is increasing across European markets, and the company is positioning itself to meet that demand at greater scale.
Expansion Plans
With the new capital, Mendo plans to double its workforce from 50 to 100 employees, with hiring concentrated in product, engineering, and sales. The company will also accelerate its entry into key European markets as corporate demand for AI adoption services continues to grow.
Looking Ahead
Quentin Amaudry, CEO and co-founder of Mendo, explained the shift he sees underway in how companies must think about AI: “With agentics, AI changes status: it is no longer a tool that saves you a few hours a week, it becomes the layer that orchestrates and governs all of a company’s operations. No company will pull off this transition without bringing its people along and changing the way it is organised. Our role is to make that adoption possible at scale, without leaving anyone behind.”
