Copenhagen-based AI SaaS startup Kime has raised €2M in pre-seed funding to help brands measure and improve how they appear inside AI assistants as consumers shift from traditional search to direct AI-generated answers.

The round was led by PSV Tech, with participation from Nordic Makers and angel investors from Copenhagen and Stockholm.

Why AI assistants are reshaping brand visibility

As users increasingly rely on AI tools for recommendations, comparisons, and purchase decisions, brand discoverability is becoming dependent on what large language models choose to surface and cite, rather than where a website ranks on a search results page.

Industry research suggests AI-based search is becoming a major entry point for online decision-making and is expected to influence a growing share of consumer spending, yet many companies have no clear way to see whether they appear in AI answers at all.

What Kime tracks across AI platforms

Kime focuses on monitoring how brands are represented across major AI assistants. The platform tracks citations, positioning, sentiment, and the sources behind AI-generated responses, turning qualitative outputs into structured analytics.

The company describes this emerging discipline as generative engine optimisation, aimed at helping marketers understand and influence how AI systems present their brand.

Early traction and go-to-market approach

Since launching, Kime has reported early demand, including more than 60 product demos in November. The company has expanded into an agency-oriented offering and is onboarding brands through both direct sales and agency partnerships across multiple industries.

Product roadmap and use of funds

In its current stage, Kime provides dashboards that track brand visibility across prompts and AI assistants, with features such as competitor benchmarking, share of voice, sentiment analysis, and source attribution.

With the new funding, Kime plans to expand its analytics capabilities and move toward a broader AI marketing layer that enables teams to actively manage and optimise presence across multiple AI assistants as the LLM ecosystem continues to fragment.
