Kameo, a Stockholm-based investment platform that specializes in facilitating direct investments in property project loans across Scandinavia, has successfully raised €1.29M in a new funding round. The investment was led by Stockholm’s Incore Invest as part of a larger €2.26M share issuance, demonstrating strong backing for Kameo’s innovative loan marketplace solution aimed at democratizing access to secured real estate investments.

Founded in 2016, Kameo has been at the forefront of opening up investment opportunities, connecting over 65,000 retail and institutional investors with secure loans for real estate projects in Scandinavia. This approach provides flexible financing for real estate developers and has facilitated over 1,000 loans totaling more than NOK 5B, offering investors an average net return of over 9% annually.

Strategic Growth and Expansion Plans

The fresh capital from Incore Invest will support the startup’s strategic growth and expansion efforts, with the aim to double the value of facilitated loans in 2024 and 2025. Nicolai Chamizo, CEO of Incore Invest, will join Kameo’s board in an advisory role, providing oversight during this period of expansion.

A Perfect Match for Growth

Sebastian Martens Harung, CEO and co-founder of Kameo, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Incore Invest, highlighting the alignment of their expert leadership team and successful track record in scaling up prominent fintechs. The inclusion of Nicolai Chamizo on the board is seen as a vital asset for Kameo as it embarks on a crucial phase of development.

About Incore Invest

Incore Invest, founded by Nicolai Chamizo, focuses on growth-stage investments to assist founders and management teams in business expansion. The firm leverages its sector expertise and networks in the European tech space, backed by entrepreneurs and family offices from Northern Europe. Chamizo’s investment in Kameo underscores his belief in the company’s potential to transform the property investment sector and facilitate easier access to funding for developers while offering private investors high-quality loan investment opportunities through a modern platform.

With this investment, the startup is well-positioned to continue its mission of making real estate investment more accessible and to further solidify its presence in the Scandinavian and UK markets, contributing to the democratization of real estate financing.
