Jua, a deeptech company developing AI-powered Earth simulations, has raised €10 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Ananda Impact Ventures and Future Energy Ventures.
Existing backers such as 468 Capital and Promus Ventures also participated.
Advancing Earth Intelligence for energy and beyond
The funding will support the expansion of Jua’s Earth Intelligence Platform, which uses the company’s proprietary EPT-2.0 AI model to simulate natural systems for use cases like weather forecasting, energy trading, and supply-demand prediction. The platform has reportedly outperformed offerings from major tech players including DeepMind, Nvidia, and Microsoft.
New leadership at the helm
Co-founder Marvin Gabler, architect of the EPT-2.0 model, has been named CEO, succeeding Andreas Brenner. Gabler will now lead efforts to expand Jua’s simulation technology across energy markets and explore adjacent industries.
Transforming forecasting with AI
Jua was founded in 2022 to address increasing climate volatility and limitations in traditional forecasting tools. Its platform integrates weather models, physics-based AI, and market behavior simulations to help energy firms make faster and more informed decisions.
Backed by climate and AI veterans
The startup previously raised $16 million in a seed round in 2024 with participation from climate and AI experts, including Siraj Khaliq (The Climate Corporation), Mehdi Ghiassani (ex-DeepMind), and Ola Torudbakken (Meta), alongside 468 Capital and Green Generation Fund.
With this new funding, the company aims to solidify its role as a foundational technology player for the natural world.
