Jeh Aerospace, a Hyderabad-based aerospace manufacturing startup, has raised $11 million in a Series A round led by Elevation Capital, with participation from General Catalyst.

This brings the company’s total funding to $15 million, including a recent undisclosed strategic investment from IndiGo Ventures.

Scaling precision manufacturing for Tier 1 aerospace suppliers

Founded by former Tata executives Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, Jeh Aerospace produces metallic components for aero engines and aerostructures, serving Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to aircraft manufacturers like Airbus and Boeing. The startup has built a 60,000 sq. ft. precision manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, combining robotics, IoT, and software-defined production to slash lead times from 15 weeks to 15 days.

By focusing on high-margin, recurring-revenue customers, the company has already built a customer base that includes GS Precision and RH Aero, with a $100M+ order book and $6M ARR — all while reaching post-tax profitability.

Backed by industry veterans and global VCs

The Jeh Aerospace team includes advisors like former Boeing India President Pratyush Kumar and former Airbus India CEO Dwaraka Srinivasan. Their mission: turn India into a strategic manufacturing hub for the global aviation supply chain — much like its recent rise in iPhone production.

CEO Sanghavi, who previously served as COO at Tata Boeing Aerospace, emphasized their strategy to serve fewer but deeper customers: “We’re not interested in transactional volume — we’re building long-term partnerships with the most important players in the ecosystem.”

Bridging the aerospace production gap

As global air traffic surges and order backlogs hit historic highs (nearly 15,700 aircraft), the industry faces acute production bottlenecks. Jeh aims to solve this with tech-driven scalability and lean operations, helping Tier 1 suppliers keep pace.

The new funding will be used to expand digital manufacturing capacity, hire engineering talent, and invest in next-gen inspection systems.

Elevation’s view: a rare play in a high-barrier market

“Jeh is building something truly differentiated in a market with deep entry barriers,” said Ashray Iyengar, Principal at Elevation Capital. “Their combination of domain expertise, software-driven manufacturing, and capital efficiency is rare in aerospace.”

Jeh Aerospace is one of only a handful of Indian startups targeting commercial aircraft supply chains at global scale, competing more directly with U.S.-based Tier 2 suppliers than local peers.
