Ukraine-based entertainment technology company HOLYWATER has raised $22M in a funding round led by Horizon Capital, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst and Wheelhouse.

The financing will support the expansion of the company’s mobile-first content platforms and AI-powered production tools.

The investment follows an earlier strategic round backed by Fox Entertainment in late 2025, which marked HOLYWATER’s entry into partnerships with major global media groups.

Expanding an AI-native content ecosystem

HOLYWATER develops technology that applies AI across the creation and distribution of entertainment content. Its product portfolio includes My Drama, a vertical video platform focused on short-form series, My Passion for digital publishing, My Muse for AI-assisted series production, and Freebits, an ad-supported streaming service providing access to premium content.

The company’s vertical streaming app My Drama has delivered strong revenue growth and received industry recognition, including the People’s Voice Award for Best Streaming Service at the 2025 Webby Awards.

Momentum in short-form and AI streaming

HOLYWATER is also seeing growing adoption of My Muse within the emerging AI-powered streaming category. The company positions vertical series as an increasingly durable storytelling format rather than a short-term consumption trend.

According to co-founders and co-CEOs Bogdan Nesvit and Anatolii Kasianov, demand for premium short-form narratives continues to rise across multiple genres and markets.

Investing in new formats and IP development

The new funding will be used to further develop HOLYWATER’s mobile-first vertical video platforms and broaden its AI-enabled content capabilities. Planned initiatives include experimentation with AI-assisted comics and animation, alongside deeper investment in intellectual property creation and global content distribution.

HOLYWATER says its strategy centers on building a scalable, creator-focused entertainment company designed for changing audience behaviors and platform-native storytelling.
