Gravitee, a UK-founded API lifecycle management platform, has raised $60 million in a Series C funding round led by Sixth Street Growth.

The round also included participation from Riverside Acceleration Capital and Albion VC, bringing the company’s total funding to more than $125 million.

The fresh capital will be used to expand Gravitee’s product offerings, enter new global markets, and strengthen its presence in API infrastructure—a space that’s becoming increasingly vital as companies race to integrate AI agents, streaming data, and hybrid systems.

Solving API sprawl with a unified control plane

Founded in 2015 by Rory Blundell, Azize Elamrani, David Brassely, Nicolas Géraud, and Titouan Compiegne, Gravitee began as an open-source initiative. It has since evolved into a commercial platform offering self-hosted, on-premise, and SaaS solutions to manage APIs and events infrastructure.

Gravitee’s value proposition lies in unifying the management of both synchronous and asynchronous APIs. This dual support allows enterprises to maintain observability and security across modern, distributed systems—something CEO Rory Blundell argues is increasingly crucial for innovation.

“Companies are integrating AI and other modern technologies faster than ever, but they risk losing visibility and control,” Blundell said. “Gravitee provides the tools to tie everything together safely and efficiently.”

Rapid growth and notable customers

Gravitee serves hundreds of customers globally, including Michelin, Roche, Blue Yonder, and digital bank Tide. The company generated $22 million in annual recurring revenue in 2024 and plans to grow its team from 130 to 200 employees by year’s end.

Its product suite includes features for API design, deployment, mock testing, and observability dashboards. The platform is often compared to competitors like Blobr and StepZen, but differentiates itself through its broad protocol support and open-source roots.

With this new funding, Gravitee is poised to become a core layer in enterprise tech stacks looking to better manage the growing complexity of data exchange and digital connectivity.
