Fronted, a Nordic startup building an AI driven platform for cross border talent operations, has raised $1 million in pre seed funding.
The round was led by Antler and Sondo Capital, marking a key step in the company’s effort to simplify international hiring for fast growing businesses.
A unified system for global recruitment and workforce management
The platform provides a complete talent operating system that brings sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, payroll and compliance into one environment. Instead of relying on multiple vendors and disjointed workflows, companies can manage the full employee journey from a single interface.
Fronted’s AI automates major processes such as screening, contract creation, onboarding tasks, payroll preparation and eventual offboarding, reducing the administrative load typically associated with international employment.

Removing long standing barriers to global expansion
Co founder Marius Blaker Høgevold explains that many companies want to scale across borders but are slowed by regulatory complexity, employment rules and operational inconsistencies. Even when teams identify strong candidates abroad, they often face legal and payroll challenges that delay hiring and limit expansion.
With Fronted, the goal is to remove these barriers through an AI first platform that can take a role from description to compliant contract and payroll with minimal manual effort. This allows companies to expand teams globally without the typical friction.
A team experienced in global workforces and fintech
Fronted was created by operators with deep expertise in international hiring, payments and compliance. The founding team includes Marius Blaker Høgevold as CEO, Hans Nyvold Kjellby as Chairman and CCO, Håvard Liltvedt Dalen as CPO, Gelo Torres as COO and Antonina Kruhlikova as CTO, supported by early team members Kurt Alexander Bakkevig, Jørgen Riiser and Lars Smith.
Following strong early traction including more than 230 percent ARR growth since July 2025 the company plans to expand its product and engineering teams and accelerate platform development.
