Online clinic Fellos has raised over €2 million in growth funding from strategic investors, including Dutch Operator Fund, Capital Mills, and several healthcare professionals, as the company expands its mission to make men’s healthcare more accessible and stigma-free.

Founded by Sibren Tolsma and Rob Smeitink, Fellos focuses on medical areas where men are often reluctant to seek help — including sexual health, hair loss, and skin conditions like acne. The platform offers fully digital consultations with licensed doctors and discreet delivery of prescribed treatments through partner pharmacies.

Since launching in 2024, Fellos has already supported over 10,000 patients, reflecting a clear demand for convenient, confidential, and affordable care.

“With Fellos, we want to lower the barriers for men to access healthcare,” said Tolsma and Smeitink. “Men often wait too long before addressing symptoms. Our digital approach makes it easier to take the first step. This funding enables us to expand into new care areas and reach more men who need help.”

Growing investor confidence in digital health

The raise positions the company within Europe’s fast-growing digital health ecosystem, which continues to attract strong investor interest in 2025.

Recent examples include Numan (UK) raising €51.6M to expand preventive and women’s health services, and ViCentra (Netherlands) securing €72.4M for insulin pump production. In men’s health specifically, Comphya (Switzerland) raised €8M for its erectile dysfunction treatment device, underscoring investor appetite for innovations improving access and patient experience.

“Online healthcare is becoming an integral part of the care system,” said Harry van den Brink, one of Fellos’s medical investors. “Fellos is filling a real gap — offering safe, reliable care that men are comfortable using. It’s an important addition to today’s healthcare landscape.”

Building a digital-first care model

Fellos’s growth also reflects shifting attitudes toward digital medicine in the Netherlands, where adoption has trailed the UK and Germany. The company’s platform aims to bridge that gap, giving men a trusted, secure, and easy-to-use entry point to medical care.

“The team is addressing a huge unmet need,” said Jeroen Bertrams and Sjoerd van Berkel of Dutch Operator Fund I. “The fact that they’ve reached 10,000 patients so quickly shows how strong the demand is for accessible, high-quality digital care.”

With the new funding, the startup plans to expand its care portfolio, invest in its AI-driven consultation technology, and strengthen clinical partnerships to enhance patient experience and treatment outcomes.
