Climate-focused venture capital firm Endgame Capital has announced the first close of its debut €8 million fund, just months after beginning its fundraising efforts.

The new fund targets near-market climate technologies — solutions that can be commercialized within two years and deliver large-scale emissions reductions without relying on subsidies or consumer behavior changes. Endgame’s goal is to back innovations capable of cutting over 50 million tons of CO₂e annually through cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.

Investing in Deployable, High-Impact Climate Tech

Endgame Capital has already made three investments from its first fund, including:

  • Ensol (France) – developing virtual power plants to accelerate renewable energy integration into the grid;
  • EVERBLOOM (U.S.) – converting protein waste into sustainable textile fibers;
  • and a third undisclosed company, to be announced soon.

“Our mission is to fund technologies that make decarbonization economically inevitable,” said a spokesperson for Endgame Capital. “We back founders building climate solutions that work at industrial scale — not years from now, but today.”

Bridging Science, Industry, and Capital

With this first fund, Endgame Capital is building a transatlantic platform that connects scientific research, industrial partners, and venture capital to accelerate the transition toward a low-carbon economy.

The firm invests primarily at the pre-seed and seed stages, writing checks between €250,000 and €750,000. Beyond funding, Endgame provides hands-on operational and commercial support — helping startups refine their go-to-market strategy, secure early customers, and scale rapidly.

A Practical Approach to Climate Impact

Unlike many climate funds focused on moonshot technologies, Endgame prioritizes ventures with proven economics, low capital requirements, and short commercialization timelines. Its approach reflects a pragmatic belief that meaningful climate impact can be achieved through technologies ready to deploy today.

“We focus on climate tech that scales fast, performs better, and costs less,” said the firm. “If a solution can’t compete on economics, it won’t achieve global impact.”
