Endform, a software company focused on browser-based testing infrastructure, has raised €1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Alliance VC, Antler, First Fellow, and Greens, with additional participation from strategic angel investors.
The funding will support the company’s efforts to expand its platform designed to accelerate end-to-end testing for modern web applications.
What The Company Does
Endform provides a platform that enables engineering teams to run browser-based end-to-end tests more efficiently, specifically optimised for the Playwright testing framework. Its system distributes tests across multiple cloud machines, allowing large test suites to execute in parallel rather than sequentially.
Each test runs independently on separate machines, while results are aggregated centrally. This architecture reduces execution time and provides faster feedback to developers, addressing a key limitation in traditional testing pipelines.
The platform is designed to simplify testing infrastructure, enabling teams to scale test coverage without increasing the time required to validate code changes. With minimal adjustments, developers can run existing Playwright test suites in parallel, improving development velocity.
Market Context / Industry Background
The demand for efficient testing infrastructure is increasing as software development cycles accelerate, particularly with the adoption of AI-assisted coding tools. These technologies are enabling faster iteration, which in turn requires equally rapid and reliable validation processes, putting pressure on existing continuous integration and testing systems.
Traditional testing approaches often struggle to keep pace. As test suites expand, execution times increase, creating bottlenecks in deployment pipelines and slowing down feedback loops. This can force teams to compromise between speed and test coverage, raising the risk of issues reaching production.
In response, there is growing interest in solutions that decouple testing scale from execution time. Platforms that enable parallel and distributed testing are becoming increasingly relevant, especially for teams managing complex web applications with high performance and reliability requirements.
This shift reflects a broader need to maintain development velocity without sacrificing stability. As release cycles shorten, even small delays in testing can have a direct impact on delivery timelines and team productivity. Reducing friction in this stage is becoming a priority for organizations aiming to streamline their workflows.
At the same time, the role of testing is evolving within the development lifecycle. Rather than being treated as a final checkpoint, it is increasingly integrated throughout the process, reinforcing the need for infrastructure that can support continuous and scalable validation.
As expectations around software reliability remain high, teams are placing greater emphasis on consistency and predictability in their testing environments. Ensuring that results are reproducible and that failures can be quickly identified is becoming as important as execution speed itself, further shaping how testing infrastructure is designed and adopted.
Founder / Investor Commentary
Jakob Norlin, co-founder of Endform, highlighted the operational challenge faced by engineering teams, noting that as test suites grow, they frequently become a bottleneck that slows down development. He explained that the company’s approach allows teams to separate the number of tests from the time required to run them, enabling developers to focus on delivering code rather than waiting on testing pipelines.
Growth Plans / Use Of Funds
The €1.5 million funding will be used to expand Endform’s core team and further develop its platform capabilities. The company aims to scale adoption of its testing infrastructure across additional markets and continue improving performance and usability.
Since launching in March 2025, Endform has already gained traction among organisations in Sweden and the United States, including adoption by software companies such as Lovable.
