Stockholm-based Einride, the freight mobility company pioneering autonomous and electric transport, has raised €85.1M in new funding to accelerate deployment of its AI-driven freight platform and autonomous vehicle operations across Europe.

The round reinforces Einride’s position as a leader in next-generation logistics, bridging automation, electrification, and digital freight intelligence.

Driving the future of freight

Founded in 2016 by Robert Falck, Linnéa Kornehed, and Filip Lilja, Einride has built a full-stack freight ecosystem combining electric and autonomous trucks, charging infrastructure, and Einride Saga, its proprietary AI operating system that helps shippers optimise routes, reduce costs, and eliminate emissions.

The new funding will accelerate rollout of Einride’s autonomous freight corridors — routes specifically designed for electric and self-driving trucks — across key European markets, including Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.

“Our mission is to make freight both intelligent and sustainable,” said CEO Robert Falck. “With this new investment, we can scale our autonomous and electric operations faster across Europe, helping shippers transition to zero-emission logistics and meet their climate goals without sacrificing efficiency.” funding reflects our confidence in their fundamentals and ability to capture significant market share.”

Backed by global investors

The round was led by Temasek and NordicNinja VC, alongside participation from Northzone, PTK Capital, and strategic industry partners. It builds on the firm’s previously announced $500M Series C, which combined equity and debt to fund large-scale vehicle deployment.

Investors are betting on Einride’s model of combining advanced automation with sustainable energy infrastructure — a key differentiator in the competitive freight-tech space.

A growing autonomous freight network

Einride’s autonomous trucks, already operating in Sweden and the US, are the first commercially deployed, cabless electric vehicles approved for public roads. The company recently launched new routes with major shippers such as GE Appliances, Electrolux, and Maersk, demonstrating cost-effective, emission-free transport at scale.

To date, Einride’s electric fleets have reduced CO₂ emissions by 95% per transported unit compared to diesel alternatives. The company’s platform also enables real-time visibility, predictive maintenance, and automated load balancing — transforming traditional freight management into a fully digital, data-driven system.

What’s next

With €85.1M in fresh capital, Einride plans to double down on its European footprint, build new autonomous freight corridors, and expand its partnerships with large logistics and retail players.

“Freight is at the heart of global commerce — but it’s also one of the biggest emitters,” Falck said. “We’re showing that automation and electrification aren’t futuristic ideas — they’re operational realities, and they scale today.”
