Deeptech innovator Delvitech has raised $40 million in Series B funding to accelerate global expansion and advance its AI-driven 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems for electronics manufacturing.
The round was led by EGS Beteiligungen (EGSB), the investment arm of the Ernst Göhner Foundation, with participation from CREADD Ventures and several leading European private investors.
Founded by Roberto Gatti, Delvitech develops AI-native optical inspection technology designed to detect, analyze, and prevent defects in printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronic components. Unlike traditional AOI systems, Delvitech’s platform is built on a flexible, scalable neural network architecture, allowing it to adapt across industries and production environments.
“We’ve built an AI-native platform designed not only to detect errors but to predict and prevent them,” said Roberto Gatti, Founder and CEO. “Our technology is flexible, hardware-agnostic, and applicable across markets — from electronics to industrial automation. We’re redefining what quality control means for the next generation of manufacturing.”
Predictive inspection for next-generation manufacturing
The 3D AOI platform uses self-learning algorithms to automatically adapt to new production processes, eliminating the need for manual programming while improving detection precision and reducing operational costs. The system can identify hard-to-detect defects such as transparent adhesives, small connectors, or mechanical irregularities — critical in sectors like automotive, telecom, IoT, pharmaceuticals, defense, and industrial automation.
Going beyond inspection, the platform’s predictive capabilities allow manufacturers to anticipate potential process errors before they occur, transforming AOI from a reactive tool into a proactive quality-assurance system.
Scaling globally
With its Series B funding, Delvitech plans to expand internationally, including the establishment of a manufacturing facility in India by 2026, and aims to reach a production capacity of 200+ machines per month by 2030.
“Delvitech operates at the intersection of AI and advanced manufacturing — two areas critical to Europe’s industrial future,” said EGSB. “Its predictive inspection technology sets a new standard for precision, efficiency, and sustainability in electronics production.”
