Complyance, an AI-native governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform, has secured $20 million in Series A funding to help enterprises automate data compliance and risk management workflows.
The round was led by GV, with participation from Speedinvest, Everywhere Ventures, and angel investors from Anthropic and Mastercard.
The company has now raised $28 million in total funding.
From Manual Audits To Continuous AI Monitoring
Founded by Richa Kaul, Complyance was built on the premise that protecting consumer data begins with securing the enterprises that manage it. The platform integrates directly into a company’s existing technology stack and deploys AI agents to automate governance, risk, and compliance processes.
Instead of relying on periodic, manual audits that can take weeks or months, Complyance enables continuous risk monitoring. Its AI agents conduct customized checks against company-specific criteria and risk thresholds, flagging potential issues in real time.
The platform also evaluates third-party vendor risk, an area that often requires extensive manual oversight in traditional enterprise environments.
Redefining The Role Of GRC Teams
Governance, risk, and compliance teams typically spend significant time managing repetitive administrative tasks and chasing documentation. Complyance aims to shift that focus toward strategic oversight by automating routine reviews.
While established players such as Archer, ServiceNow, and OneTrust operate in the same market, Complyance positions itself as AI-native rather than retrofitting AI features onto legacy systems.
The company reports working with several Fortune 500 enterprises, although it has not disclosed specific customer numbers. After emerging from stealth in 2023 and launching its first product in late 2024, Complyance has quickly gained investor attention.
Expanding The AI Agent Suite
With the new funding, the startup plans to accelerate go-to-market expansion and significantly broaden its AI capabilities. The company intends to grow its suite from 16 AI agents to more than 30 purpose-built agents, further automating compliance checks and operational workflows.
By transforming GRC from a reactive, audit-driven function into a continuous, AI-powered process, Complyance aims to help enterprises stay compliant, reduce operational risk, and allow internal teams to focus on higher-value strategic initiatives.
