London-based AI startup CodeWords has secured €7.6 million ($9 million) in Seed funding to accelerate the development of its autonomous business operations platform and expand its engineering and go-to-market teams.

The round was led by Visionaries, with participation from Firstminute Capital, Sequel, and Illusian, alongside several angel investors and technology executives.

Building AI Agents For Autonomous Operations

Founded by Aymeric Zhuo and Osman Ramadan, CodeWords develops AI agents designed to automate operational workflows for businesses.

Its flagship product, Cody, acts as an AI-powered operational assistant capable of learning how a company functions, understanding workflows, and proactively executing repetitive tasks across multiple systems and integrations.

The company aims to simplify enterprise automation by removing the need for coding, deployment, or ongoing maintenance, enabling non-technical teams to automate complex workflows.

From AI Research To Enterprise Automation

CodeWords originally started as Agemo, an AI research lab recognised for its work in neurosymbolic reasoning and featured alongside OpenAI in the ARC-AGI benchmark in 2024.

Today, the platform powers automated workflows across industries and already processes around 500,000 tasks each month.

The company says Cody can manage end-to-end operational processes, from social media management and content approval workflows to large-scale lead generation systems used by automation agencies.

Its platform is also expanding with features such as contextual memory, WhatsApp integrations, and adaptable execution modes tailored to different business tasks.

Creating An AI Operating Layer For Businesses

CodeWords envisions Cody becoming a persistent AI operating layer that continuously learns from business activity and proactively executes operational work in the background.

According to co-founder Aymeric Zhuo, the company designed Cody to behave more like a proactive operator rather than a traditional software tool.

Co-founder Osman Ramadan added that the platform continuously learns about a business over time, allowing the AI to anticipate needs and execute workflows without starting from scratch each time.
