Bricks.sh, an AI-native platform for building and maintaining internal tools, has secured €1.6 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round.

The investment was led by Primo Capital, with participation from Octopus Ventures, Eden Ventures, Vesper Holding, and Vento, alongside a group of European angel investors.

The company also announced the launch of its public beta, opening access to its platform for a wider developer audience.

Automating internal tools with AI

Bricks.sh is designed to remove the time-consuming work associated with building and maintaining internal admin tools. By connecting an existing API and database, developers can automatically generate a fully functional admin panel that can be used across an organisation by both technical and non-technical teams.

Once deployed, the platform continuously monitors the underlying data structure. When changes occur, such as new fields, updated tables, or modified endpoints, Bricks.sh automatically updates the frontend, eliminating the need for manual maintenance and reducing long-term engineering overhead.

The company positions this approach as a way to free developers from repetitive internal tooling work, allowing them to focus on higher-impact product development.

Early traction and global adoption

Since launch, Bricks.sh has onboarded more than 500 users, with adoption overwhelmingly driven by international demand. Around 99.7 percent of users are based outside Italy, the company’s home market, and approximately 35 percent are located in the United States.

This early traction has reinforced the company’s decision to operate with a global-first mindset, supported by the low friction of selling developer tools across markets.

A recent integration with Supabase has further accelerated growth. A one-click admin panel tailored for Supabase users led to a significant increase in sign-ups within weeks, highlighting strong resonance within the developer ecosystem.

Addressing a persistent developer pain point

According to founder and CEO Dario Di Carlo, internal tools often consume a disproportionate share of engineering time while delivering little direct business value. Traditional solutions typically force teams to choose between speed and customisation, resulting in tools that either take months to build or fail to meet operational needs.

Bricks.sh aims to remove this trade-off by combining speed, flexibility, and usability in a single platform. The company argues that its AI-driven approach enables teams to deploy tailored admin tools dramatically faster than building in-house, while offering a more intuitive experience for business users.

CTO Giuliano Torregrossa adds that internal tools across industries share common structural patterns, making them well suited to automation. By abstracting these patterns, Bricks.sh can deliver admin interfaces far more efficiently than traditional development workflows.

Expanding the team and product roadmap

The new funding will be used to grow the Bricks.sh team and continue refining the core platform, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and developer experience. The company plans to deepen its AI capabilities while supporting a growing global customer base.

Investors highlighted the combination of technical execution and international ambition as key reasons for backing the company at an early stage.
