Cleantech venture builder BigCircle Ventures has raised €2 million to accelerate the creation of new startups tackling energy, materials, and circular economy challenges.
The round brought in over 10 new investors, including Oost NL, which supports regional innovation, and Alphatron Group BV, known for scaling industrial technologies with measurable environmental impact.

Turning Untapped Research Into Market-Ready Cleantech
Founded in 2024 by Joost Kruytzer, BigCircle Ventures was built on a simple premise: Europe’s path to net-zero runs through its labs. Across universities and research institutions, thousands of potential climate solutions remain uncommercialized. BigCircle identifies, funds, and builds startups around those underdeveloped technologies — particularly in clean energy, bio-based materials, and critical materials recycling.
