Axomove, a digital health company focused on prevention and rehabilitation services, has raised €4 million in a Series A funding round.
The investment was co-led by the Digital Prevention Fund managed by Bpifrance and Go Capital, with participation from Inco Ventures and existing backer Faraday Venture Partners. The company will use the capital to accelerate commercial growth, broaden healthcare coverage areas, and strengthen its technology platform across the French market.
What The Company Does
Founded in 2019, Axomove provides a digital rehabilitation platform that combines remote care tools with support from healthcare professionals after hospital treatment. The company’s model is designed to extend patient care beyond clinical settings, helping individuals continue recovery programmes through personalised digital pathways.
Its platform focuses on prevention, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation, allowing patients to access guided exercise programmes, treatment monitoring, and professional follow-up remotely. This approach aims to improve continuity of care while reducing pressure on hospitals and in-person healthcare resources.
Axomove reports positive outcomes across several measures, including stronger functional recovery, improved treatment adherence, lower absenteeism, and reduced healthcare costs for organisations and providers.
Market Context / Industry Background
Digital rehabilitation has become an increasingly important segment of European healthcare as providers seek more scalable and cost-efficient care models. Ageing populations, rising rates of chronic illness, and pressure on healthcare systems are driving demand for remote treatment pathways that can complement traditional in-person services.
Employers and insurers are also showing greater interest in prevention and recovery solutions, particularly for conditions linked to workplace absence and long-term productivity loss. Musculoskeletal disorders remain one of the most common causes of work-related health issues across Europe, creating a significant opportunity for technology-enabled intervention.
France has also expanded support for health innovation through public-private investment initiatives, making it a growing market for digital therapeutics, telehealth, and remote rehabilitation platforms.
At the same time, improvements in mobile health technology and connected devices are making it easier to monitor patient progress outside clinical settings. This allows practitioners to adjust treatment plans using real-time data while helping patients remain engaged between appointments. As reimbursement models continue to evolve, platforms that can demonstrate measurable outcomes, lower costs, and improved recovery rates are expected to gain stronger adoption across healthcare providers, employers, and insurance partners.
Founder / Investor Commentary
Axomove co-founder and CEO Boris Lévêque said the new funding reflects growing confidence in the company’s long-term strategy.
“The confidence of leading institutional investors validates the relevance of our strategy and reinforces our ambition to become a standard of care in prevention and rehabilitation,” he said.
The backing from institutional investors such as Bpifrance and Go Capital signals continued momentum for healthcare technologies that can improve patient outcomes while reducing system-wide costs.
Growth Plans / Use Of Funds
Axomove plans to use the new funding to accelerate commercial expansion across three key customer groups: corporates, insurers, and healthcare providers. The company also intends to widen reimbursement eligibility into additional treatment categories including musculoskeletal disorders, obesity, and metabolic diseases.
On the product side, Axomove will invest in enhanced motion tracking capabilities and gamification features designed to improve user engagement and adherence to treatment programmes.
The company currently works with around 150 clients, including hospitals, insurers, and major corporates such as Air France, Thales, Allianz, CHU de Lille, and Ramsay Santé. It serves approximately 75,000 users and plans to double its team over the coming years as adoption grows.
