European capital markets infrastructure provider Axiology has secured €5 million in seed funding to scale its regulated digital platform and expand tokenised securities capabilities under the EU DLT Pilot Regime.

The round was led by Exponential Science, e2vc, and Coinvest Capital, with participation from new investors TIBAS Ventures and Plug and Play, as well as continued support from existing backers including BSV Ventures and NGL Ventures. With this round, Axiology has raised a total of €7 million to date.

Building a single regulated system for the full securities lifecycle

Axiology is focused on addressing fragmentation across European capital markets. Through its Distributed Ledger Technology Trading and Settlement System (DLT TSS) licence, the company operates one of the most comprehensive regulatory setups available under the EU DLT Pilot Regime.

This licence allows Axiology to consolidate issuance, custody, trading, and settlement of securities into a single regulated environment, reducing operational complexity and lowering costs for issuers, intermediaries, and investors.

Founder and CEO Marius Jurgilas says the regulatory framework is now in place for meaningful infrastructure change, and that the system is already live. The new funding will be used to scale the platform and execute its go-to-market strategy across Europe.

Expanding access to digital fixed income instruments

The platform is designed to make fixed income instruments, including government bonds, more accessible to a broader investor base. While retail investors can easily access equities and ETFs, participation in bond markets remains limited due to infrastructure constraints rather than technical feasibility.

By enabling digital issuance and smaller denominations within a regulated system, Axiology aims to open access to safer fixed income products for retail investors across the European Economic Area.

The company is currently working with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania on a digital-native version of Lithuanian Government Defence Bonds. Issuing these instruments through Axiology’s infrastructure would allow them to be distributed across Europe, including to the Lithuanian diaspora, while supporting broader participation in national funding initiatives.

Live infrastructure with multiple services in production

Since launching operations in September 2025, Axiology has rolled out three core services: a securities depository, shareholder registry management, and a Multilateral Trading Facility.

Its depository services are already used by crowdfunding platforms, allowing them to structure debt offerings as bonds and provide investors with access to a wider range of asset classes.

The shareholder registry solution is live across Lithuania, with more than €21 million in shares already recorded on the platform, and international expansion is planned.

Axiology’s Multilateral Trading Facility is fully integrated with its trading and settlement infrastructure. Brokers are already connected, enabling market activity from day one and allowing participants to access trading, settlement, and custody within a single system.

Institutional-grade infrastructure built on DLT

Axiology operates on a private, permissioned distributed ledger network designed for institutional use. The system provides regulatory compliance, transaction finality, and tamper-evident auditability, while enabling near-instant settlement through licensed European stablecoins, replacing traditional T+2 settlement cycles.

The company plans to use the new capital to deepen institutional partnerships, expand geographically, and improve interoperability with existing financial infrastructure. Axiology is also preparing to participate in wholesale CBDC initiatives, including the ECB’s Appia and Pontes projects, and to connect with TARGET2 to further streamline settlement flows.
