Ahead Health, a Zurich-based preventive healthcare startup, has secured $6 million in new funding to accelerate its expansion across Europe and further develop its early-detection health platform.
The round was led by RTP Global, with participation from Tiny.VC and Pareto 20. A group of prominent entrepreneurs also joined the round, including Kai Eberhardt (Oviva), Stef van Grieken (Cradle), Sara Hürlimann (Zahnarztzentrum), Thomas Wolf (Hugging Face), Michiel Bakker (MIT, DeepMind), and professional footballer Cody Gakpo.
Tackling reactive healthcare with early detection
Despite major advances in medical imaging and blood analysis, much of today’s healthcare system remains reactive, fragmented, and expensive. Many serious conditions are still detected late, even though existing technologies can already identify early disease signals with high precision.
Ahead Health was founded in 2024 by a team of former Google executives, medical professionals, and healthtech specialists to shift this paradigm. The company offers comprehensive preventive check-ups through a single digital platform, combining full-body MRI scans, CT imaging, and advanced blood diagnostics.

Turning biomarkers into actionable health insights
Ahead Health’s platform translates complex medical data into personalized, easy-to-understand insights. This allows users to identify potential health risks earlier, including cancer, neurological conditions, cardiovascular disease, and endometriosis.
The company’s full preventive screening process is designed to take around 30 minutes, after which users receive a digital, personalized health plan. The platform continuously integrates new medical research and individual data to refine recommendations over time.
Nick Lenten, CEO and co-founder of Ahead Health, explained that early results already demonstrate the platform’s impact. Around a quarter of users have discovered previously unknown medical issues, while others have gained insights related to longevity and quality of life, including identifying the root causes of chronic pain.
Expanding clinical partnerships across Europe
Ahead Health operates as a licensed medical practice through partnerships with clinics in Switzerland and Germany, combining clinically validated diagnostics with a continuously learning digital platform. By working closely with established healthcare providers, the company ensures medical quality while maintaining a seamless digital experience.
The new funding will support the expansion of partner clinics into Germany, the Netherlands, and Austria. It will also be used to enhance platform capabilities, introduce additional diagnostic services, and grow the engineering and product teams.
