Who are you, where are you from and what is your background?

My name is Peter Oberlik , Founder & CEO of FoundersToday, former Growth Hacker at Venionaire Capital & Head of Growth at Venionaire Growth Punks in Vienna and I am originally from Gmunden / Upper Austria.

After my 3-year apprenticeship at the agricultural college in Altmünster, I worked a lot on assembly jobs and in renowned production companies in Upper Austria, where I was able to expand my knowledge of management, leadership, and project management.

As a Social Media Expert & Growth Hacker i supported the Marketing Team at Venionaire Capital. With an Track Record of over 100+ Mio. Views on my Social Media Channels i have a passion for building and growing Social Media Channels & Online Brands.

I’m also the Founder of www.FoundersToday.news, where i build a international Startup News Platform & PR Boutique and help Founders and Startups to build their personal brands and share their success stories.
Previously, during my time as a Founder in Silicon Valley, i was able to gain a lot of experience in a wide variety of Business Areas.

How did you become a founder and what was the motivation for it?

I come from a down-to-earth family and always had to work hard for everything. Hard setbacks in my life taught me never to give up. I didn’t study and had to teach myself everything about startups, technologies, programming codes, marketing etc. And that takes time. After a few thoughts about what could be developed in this way, I came up with the idea of supporting companies in order to stop the small businesses from dying. After a few pivots and changes to the business model, my first startup was LifePole Inc., with which we then unfortunately failed.

What is your vision with FoundesToday and what exactly did you do at Venionaire Capital?

Our vision at FoundersToday is to bring young founders to the forefront and publish startup news from all over the world. But our goal is also to help in the areas of marketing and positioning.

Many young founders only concentrate on their idea and the development of their startup, and that’s a good thing, but they often forget to position themselves as founders and build up their personal brand in order to present themselves perfectly to the outside world.

We not only help with our articles about financing rounds and founder stories, but we can also draw on a great network of international media partners, investors, business angels, mentors, agencies and much more. consists. So we can e.g. place our customers in our network of international media platforms, which has over 10 million followers and around 110 million readers internationally.

At Venionaire Capital, I worked as a social media expert and was responsible for all of the group’s online presence. I also held the position of Head of Growth at Venionaire Growth Punks, a service department of Venionaire Capital.

Where should the journey with your start-up go and where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years FoundersToday will be a very important platform in the international media landscape. My personal goal is to be successful as an entrepreneur in the next 5 years and to be able to pass on my experience to young founders.

What tips can you give young Founders?

  • Never give up – no matter how difficult it gets.
  • Always try to be the best in your niche.
  • Try as much as possible and learn from your mistakes.
  • Build up a large network and talk to many people about your idea.

What is your favourite quote or your own quote?

“If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.” – Napoleon Hill
