BidScript, a Manchester-based AI-native tender management platform, has raised $800K in its latest funding round, bringing total pre-seed funding to over $1M.

The round includes follow-on investment from NPIF II via PXN Ventures and new investment from SFC Capital. The capital will support team growth, further product development, and expansion into new domestic and international markets.

Addressing The Market Opportunity

Hundreds of billions of pounds in public and private sector contracts are awarded each year, yet most businesses still manage the bidding process manually, relying on spreadsheets and shared drives that are resource-intensive and difficult to scale. For businesses competing in demanding sectors such as construction and engineering, IT, and education, the gap between the complexity of modern tendering and the tools available to manage it has remained largely unaddressed.

BidScript was founded on the premise that general-purpose AI does not meet the standards required for high-stakes tendering, a niche that demands deep domain expertise built into the platform from the ground up.

How The Technology Works

BidScript covers the full lifecycle of tender management, helping businesses find, qualify, manage, write, and submit bids for public and private sector contracts. The platform uses AI to automate workflows and improve efficiency across each stage of the process, reducing the manual overhead that typically makes tendering inaccessible or unsustainable for smaller businesses.

The platform is designed specifically for the demands of public and private sector procurement, where accuracy, compliance, and consistency carry significant commercial consequences. Early customers across the UK, US, and the Middle East have reported win rate improvements of up to 50 percent using BidScript’s technology.

Growth And Market Traction

BidScript was founded by childhood friends Henry Brogan and Tyler McCarthy, who launched the business while still at university. The company’s fundraising journey began in November 2024 when it was selected for PXN’s inaugural PraeSeed programme, a six-week investor readiness initiative for pre-seed businesses in the North of England. BidScript was among seven businesses that received initial investment of £200K following the programme.

The platform has since built a customer base spanning the UK, US, and the Middle East, with traction across the construction and engineering, IT, and education sectors.

Expansion Plans

The latest funding round will allow BidScript to continue building its team, extend its product suite, and expand into new markets both domestically and internationally, following early commercial validation across three geographies.

Looking Ahead

Henry Brogan, Co-Founder and CEO of BidScript, explained the gap the platform was built to close: “General-purpose AI does not meet the standards required for high-stakes public and private sector tendering, it’s a niche that demands deep expertise. BidScript embodies that exact principle and this latest funding round will allow us to take the next step on our journey as we expand into new markets and geographies.”

Ed Stevenson, Principal at SFC Capital, described what attracted the firm to the company: “Henry and Tyler are tackling a problem most people overlook: the antiquated system of managing public and private contracts. They’ve built real traction early, and their sector focus and commercial discipline are exactly what we look for at pre-seed.”
