Digiclean, a Swedish deep-tech startup developing an industrial cleaning and maintenance optimization platform, has raised €2.5M in a seed round co-led by Unconventional Ventures and Almi Invest GreenTech, with additional investment from S-E Bankens Utvecklingsstiftelse, Impact Shakers, and Feminvest Ventures.

The funding will support further development of the company’s AI- and sensor-based platform for real-time monitoring of industrial cleaning processes.

Addressing The Market Opportunity

Industrial cleaning plays a critical role in manufacturing, supporting equipment performance, product quality, reduced downtime, and regulatory compliance. Despite this importance, many cleaning processes remain manual and difficult to monitor consistently.

While other parts of manufacturing have undergone significant digitization, cleaning chemicals and processes are still largely managed through manual testing and operator experience rather than real-time data. Digiclean was founded to close this gap, bringing the same level of measurement and optimization to cleaning that has already transformed other areas of industrial operations.

How The Technology Works

Digiclean’s plug-and-play platform uses AI and sensor-based technology to continuously monitor the condition of cleaning chemicals and automatically adjust chemical levels as needed. This replaces manual testing with real-time data, giving manufacturers ongoing visibility into a process that has traditionally relied on periodic checks and operator judgment.

The platform is designed to integrate into existing industrial environments, allowing manufacturers to make cleaning processes measurable and optimizable without overhauling existing equipment or workflows.

Growth And Market Traction

Digiclean was founded by Charlotte Stigen Låstberg and Andreas Låstberg. The company’s seed round brings together a mix of sector-focused and impact-oriented investors, reflecting interest in the platform’s potential to improve both operational efficiency and sustainability outcomes across manufacturing.

Expansion Plans

The seed funding will support continued development of Digiclean’s platform as the company works to extend its real-time monitoring and optimization technology across additional industries and manufacturing environments.

Looking Ahead

Charlotte Stigen Låstberg, CEO and co-founder of Digiclean, described the long-standing gap the company is working to close: “Industrial cleaning has long been a critical part of manufacturing, but many of the underlying processes have changed little over the years. We are building the tools needed to make it measurable, optimisable and aligned with modern efficiency and sustainability requirements. With the support of Unconventional Ventures and Almi Invest GreenTech, we can accelerate this transition across industries.”
