UK-based Greenpixie has secured £4.7 million in pre-Series A funding to expand its platform focused on improving cloud sustainability, reducing wasted infrastructure spending, and helping enterprises optimise AI workloads more efficiently.
The round was led by VERBUND X Ventures, with participation from Octopus Ventures, Armajaro Holdings, and Green Angel Ventures.
Tackling Cloud Waste In The AI Era
Founded in 2021, Greenpixie develops sustainability intelligence tools for enterprise cloud and AI infrastructure.
The company says the rapid growth of AI workloads and global data centre demand is significantly increasing both operational costs and environmental impact, while many organisations still lack visibility into inefficient cloud usage.
Greenpixie’s platform integrates with major cloud providers to help enterprises identify unused infrastructure resources, optimise compute-heavy AI workloads, and reduce emissions associated with cloud operations.

Helping Enterprises Reduce Costs And Emissions
The platform enables IT and sustainability teams to analyse cloud efficiency across carbon emissions, water consumption, and infrastructure utilisation.
By identifying unnecessary or underused cloud resources, often referred to as “zombie infrastructure,” companies can reduce operational waste while improving sustainability performance.
Greenpixie also supports deployment optimisation by helping businesses choose lower-carbon cloud regions and improve workload efficiency across distributed infrastructure environments.
The company says its customers include major enterprise organisations such as Mastercard.
Funding To Accelerate Global Expansion
The newly raised capital will be used to scale the company’s technology platform, expand international operations, and further develop its sustainability intelligence capabilities for cloud and AI infrastructure.
According to John Ridd, CEO and co-founder of Greenpixie, enterprises increasingly need better tools to manage the growing complexity and cost of AI infrastructure.
