London-based PANTA has secured €3.4 million (£3 million) in fresh funding to accelerate development of its platform designed to modernise how financial institutions create, calculate, and manage indices and investment portfolios.

The round was led by Fuel Ventures and includes €1.7 million (£1.5 million) in venture financing alongside an additional €1.7 million (£1.5 million) Innovation Loan from Innovate UK.

Rebuilding The Infrastructure Behind Financial Indices

Founded in 2024 by Tobias Sproehnle and Mark Pralle, PANTA is developing software aimed at replacing the spreadsheet-heavy workflows and fragmented legacy systems still widely used across the index and portfolio management industry.

The company says the sector manages more than €103 trillion globally, yet many firms continue to rely on manual processes that limit flexibility, increase operational complexity, and slow product innovation.

PANTA’s platform is designed to automate the full lifecycle of index management, including index construction, calculations, rebalancing, reporting, and distribution.

Faster Product Development For Asset Managers

The startup combines a scalable calculation engine with intuitive design tools that allow asset managers, index providers, and financial data companies to build and launch custom indices significantly faster than traditional methods.

According to the company, clients can design, test, and deploy new investment products within minutes while reducing infrastructure costs and improving operational efficiency.

PANTA says it has already secured its first commercial customers and established partnerships with strategic industry players as it moves beyond early pilot deployments.

Funding To Expand Product And Commercial Teams

The newly raised capital will be used to grow the company’s engineering organisation, accelerate product development, and expand commercial operations ahead of a broader market rollout.

The company is also preparing for a larger Series A financing round expected in early 2027.

“Index providers and financial institutions have operated on outdated infrastructure for far too long,” said Tobias Sproehnle, CEO and co-founder of PANTA. “We are rebuilding the entire value chain to help firms innovate faster, scale more efficiently, and deliver more sophisticated investment products to the market.”

Mark Pearson, Managing Partner at Fuel Ventures, added that the market is entering a major transition phase driven by automation and increasing demand for customised investment products.
