Startup DesignVerse has raised more than $5.5 million in seed funding to accelerate development of its AI-powered enterprise software platform.
The round was backed by Begin Capital, Gapminder VC, Underline Ventures, and angel investors from Adobe, London Stock Exchange Group, and UiPath. Founded in 2024, DesignVerse develops infrastructure designed to help enterprises modernise and build complex software systems using their own internal architecture, design standards, and engineering workflows.
What The Company Does
DesignVerse develops an AI-powered platform that helps organisations generate and modernise enterprise software applications while maintaining compatibility with existing systems and internal development standards.
The platform uses a company’s existing design systems, documentation, component libraries, and architectural rules to generate production-aligned software tailored to enterprise requirements. Rather than creating generic prototypes, the system is designed for environments where security, compliance, reliability, and operational consistency are critical.
The company focuses particularly on industries managing large-scale and mission-critical software infrastructure, including aviation, finance, cybersecurity, and government sectors.
By integrating directly into existing workflows, DesignVerse aims to reduce friction between product design and engineering teams, a process that often slows software delivery in large enterprises.
Market Context / Industry Background
AI-assisted software development tools have accelerated application prototyping and coding workflows across the technology sector. However, many enterprises still face challenges deploying AI-generated software within regulated and operationally complex environments.
Large organisations typically rely on extensive internal standards, legacy infrastructure, and strict governance requirements that generic AI coding systems are not designed to handle. As a result, significant manual work often remains necessary to convert prototypes into production-ready enterprise applications.
This gap has contributed to growing demand for enterprise-focused AI development infrastructure capable of integrating safely with existing systems and architectural standards.
Companies developing AI tooling for enterprise software modernisation are increasingly positioning themselves as infrastructure providers rather than standalone coding assistants, particularly in sectors where operational reliability and compliance remain critical.
The expansion of enterprise AI adoption is also increasing demand for tools that support collaboration between developers, security teams, and compliance departments throughout software deployment cycles. Industry analysts expect enterprise-focused AI infrastructure platforms to become an increasingly important segment within the broader software development ecosystem as businesses continue modernising internal operations and accelerating digital transformation initiatives.
Founder / Investor Commentary
DesignVerse was founded by former Oracle product design lead Andrei Manolache and software engineer Robert Dragutoiu.
CEO Andrei Manolache stated that large organisations continue to spend substantial time translating product design concepts into deployable enterprise software, often creating inefficiencies between design and engineering teams.
According to Manolache, the company’s platform is intended to streamline this transition by enabling teams to generate functional enterprise applications directly from existing design systems while validating behaviour earlier in the development process.
The investor group backing the company also reflects broader interest in AI infrastructure platforms capable of supporting enterprise-grade software development and modernisation workflows.
Growth Plans / Use Of Funds
The newly raised funding will be used to expand DesignVerse’s engineering team and accelerate growth across enterprise markets in Europe and the United States.
The company also plans to continue developing platform capabilities focused on enterprise integration, workflow automation, and software modernisation for organisations managing complex legacy infrastructure.
Earlier pre-seed funding of $850,000 supported the development of the company’s initial platform and collaborations with early enterprise partners.
